High Water

This is the creek in our area. It's about 150 feet or so from our house. It's nice to hear it when the windows and doors are open at this time of year. Normally it's only a few inches deep, but right now it's a few feet deep. Two years ago a young man in his twenties fell into the creek at this time of year and drowned. If you see the creek mid summer you would think that impossible. This time of year it fills and the banks are brimming...Amazing what a bit of snow up in the mountains will do.

We tied the dog to the bank so she wouldn't fall/jump into the creek and get swept away...looking at the photos now, It looks like I should have tied my daughter to the bank! The water is very swift and muddy as you can see in the photos.

You have captured so beautifully - nature and of how quickly the rivers can change.

A wise decision to have Goldie tied up and yet still able to enjoy.

Keep shooting with your camera - you are indeed a natural!!

I'm sure your Goldie, is eagerly awaiting for 'Jackson' to appear.

And being a female - she will let Jackson know - who is boss ;)

Not long to go now...
