It's Gone!

For those of you who haven't noticed yet---It's gone!!! I got rid of the word verification option. It drives me crazy!! 95% of the time I find that I have to re-type the letters, when I KNOW that I've typed in the right ones..... grrr annoying. So I've decided to remove it and see what happens. If I have a problem, I'll have to restore it to the original setting. I really hope it's okay because I'd like to make it easier to comment. I'm sure I'm not the only one that gets frustrated with them, so enjoy! :o))

"The Atheist" A Joke for the Day.

An atheist was walking through the woods.

"What majestic trees"! "What powerful rivers"! "What beautiful animals"! He said to himself.

As he was walking alongside the river, he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him. He turned to look and saw a 8-foot grizzly bear charging straight towards him.

He ran as fast as he could up the path. He looked over his shoulder and saw that the bear was closing in on him. He looked over his shoulder again, and the bear was even closer. He tripped and fell on the ground.

He rolled over to pick himself up but saw that the bear was right on top of him, reaching for him with his left paw and raising his right paw to strike him. At that instant, the atheist cried out, "Oh my God!"

Time stopped. The bear froze. The forest was silent. As a bright light shone upon the man, a voice came out of the sky.

"You deny my existence for all these years, teach others that I don't exist and credit creation to cosmic accident." "Do you expect me to help you out of this predicament? Am I to count you as a believer"?

The atheist looked directly into the light, "It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask you to treat me as a Christian now, but perhaps you could make the BEAR a Christian"?

"Very well," said the voice. The light went out. The sounds of the forest resumed. The bear dropped his right paw, brought both paws together, bowed his head and spoke:

"Lord bless this food, which I am about to receive from thy bounty through Christ our Lord, Amen."

A New Menu

I'm trying a new menu. It's from menus4moms
I'm going to see how it goes. It looks like some good meals...
She also has a 'busy cooks pyramid'. It lays out the basics to simply and easily making your dinner in 30 minutes or less. The best part is they seem to be nutritious meals. She lays out a plan to have 30-40 meals in your freezer within 4-6 weeks without any marathon cooking. I think this is something that I could possibly manage! lol... I used to be a very creative cook, but have become a boring cook making the same few meals and being disorganized with menu planning and food shopping.
When the kids were all little, I used to try a new recipe about once or twice a week and my hubby loved it! Now it's a big occasion when I do try something new!! So we'll see how this goes... there are a few things on there that we probably wouldn't eat, one of them being pork, but we can easily substitute one of my 'old boring' meals!! :o))
Something else that is nice is that they have a printable shopping list for each weeks menu! Yay!! that's half the battle there! She talks about a printable shopping list where you can enter the prices for the items you need and when you print out your list, you know exactly how much your grocery bill is going to be when you leave the store! Sounds good but I don't know that I'll get THAT organized!! I love these ideas but find it hard to put them all into practice... so we'll start small and just do the menu plan and the simple grocery list!!
My two week menu is on the sidebar on the right if you want to take a look. The link to their site is also there.
OH! One thing I forgot to mention: It's free!!! I'll be posting some pictures of our yummy meals soon!
Thanks for dropping by...Next time maybe we'll have tea! ;)
