Saint Patrick's Day.

Well we didn't do anything special for St. Pat's, unlike a LOT of you do! Friends called us at about 11:30 this morning to see if my hubby and I wanted to meet them for breakfast. They were sitting in the restaurant and gave us a call. We did and we had a fabulous time of eating and just enjoying spending time together with some awesome friends. We were having such a nice time that we lost track of time and overstayed. Our youngest daughter had a birthday party to be at, at the time we left the restaurant. She was supposed to go dressed as a princess and she has grown so much recently that we had to go find something for her to wear. We found one of the nicest dresses at Walmart. It's pink with some lovely draping and we also found some lovely white sandals to wear with it. Her whole demeanor changed when she put the outfit on (complete with crown). She became a princess! She looked so sweet! The camera battery was dead today so will have to take a picture of her in it tomorrow -as she has hung it in her closet, ready to wear to church tomorrow. We dropped her off at the party and then repeated the same process with her older sister!
Other than that, we've spent the rest of the day at home... very enjoyable! We love being at home! To top it off Dad made supper tonight. He made Greek salad.... family favourite.... home made hamburger patties, and brown rice. YAAAY!!! It was great.... I love it when Dad cooks. He only does it about once a month or so... but I really enjoy it when he does. When the girls were little he did it alot more. (I had 3 babies in 35 months!)He saw that I wasn't in very good shape and he really picked up the slack. I am so thankful, because alot of men wouldn't do it and would just be angry and resentful. I am blessed. As the girls have gotten older I have gotten better and have been able to pretty much do most things around the house so he has just ever so gradually stopped doing those things(he is still very helpful around here though)Which is totally fine with me... I'd really rather be doing them myself anyway... as I see that as my 'job', since I am a SAHM.
Anyway......this is a definite ramble...but that's what I enjoy........I find this blogging therapeutic most of the time, because I just start typing and whatever comes is what I write. (C:

Well happy weekend friends and thanks for stopping by... wish I could serve you tea and biscuits!

Hi there, your day sounds like ours. We had two girls to drop off at the same party, for a boy, they were more concerned about getting green clothing so they wouldn't get pinched.heheheh

My In-Laws invited us out for Chinese food, and we did, but had to "eat and run" to get the girls to the party on time. When then came home and cleaned off the front deck of the house and then started on the back deck. Our day here was 70' and we were loving every minute of our "warm" weather.

As hubby napped, I was getting my flower boxes cleaned out to plant new pretties next week.

How was your dinner with your friend? Did it go well?

Of coarse it is not a problem to send it to you, I think you would like it. Just leave me your address as you would a comment, I have to approve them before I allow them to be added to my blog. So I will just get your address that way, so it stays private.

I am having a hard time adding the blogs I enjoy reading, I have not figured that one out yet. Thanks for adding me to yours.

Gotta get 3 more girlies to bed, so they won't be crabby tomorrow.

Blogging is very therapeutic, I agree.
Hubby here is also pretty good about helping around the house and I bragged when the kids were little that he had no problem changing diapers whithout an argument. We had the first 3 in 3 years also. Its hard to have when they are 3, 2 and newborn! When Maddie came along it was 5,4,2, and newborn so we stayed busy and for years had kids in diapers. The hubby likes to make dinners here also which is nice especially since right now I am working (outside the home, I miss working as a SAHM) and sometimes when I get home I just want to spend time with the kids and not make dinner.
Isn't it funny how little girls can change just by adding a princess dress? Mine are like that too.

Hi Heather,

Thank you for visiting and leaving me such a nice comment!! :-)

I tried leaving a comment a second ago, but somehow it didn't work. I'm not sure if it will end up appearing later, but just in case you end up having two almost identical comments from me, that's why...

Isn't it adorable how little girls magically turn into princesses when they put on a pretty dress? I just love to see my daughters glow when they know they look nice. I still remember how I felt when I wore dresses with "twirly" skirts when I was tiny. Come to think of it, prom nights were just as special!! :-)

You are so right, husbands who are willing to help are such a blessing!! It's such a treat when my husband cooks, but I'm like you... I feel like it's my job since he is going to work all day, so I try to keep it together so he doesn't HAVE to. But just to know he's willing to help me when I need him, IS a blessing.

Have a wonderful day, Heather!! :-)
